Chapter 14 :  Refreshments for Anti naxal force

A devotee was a bank employee by profession and was in constant touch with Gurunatha. During their daily conversations Gurunatha used to tell him before hand which customers will be visiting his branch that day, how much money will be deposited etc.

Once this person had to visit a bank customer along with his manager, Just when he was about to leave Gurunatha called him and asked him to carry a few tender coconuts. This was during the time when there was a surge in naxal activity along the Malenadu districts. Coincidently, this customer’s house was also in a naxal infested area. As they saw a vendor selling tender coconuts on their way they took about 50 tender coconuts and started their journey.

Just about when they had reached the customer’s residence and started their discussions, they saw security forces had surrounded the house and started putting barricades. Security forces neither spoke the local language nor had much information/intelligence about the locals. The visiting duo came to know that there was bomb blast nearby executed by naxals. So, security forces had been cordoning off the whole area for combing operations. The duo was also suspected to be naxals or their sympathizers. The devotee prayed to Gurunatha to show them a way out of the situation. Gurunatha had tried contacting the devotee but was unsuccessful as the mobile networks were probably (jammed) put out of service as a precautionary measure.

Gurunatha called the devotee’s wife and informed her of the situation her husband was in and reassured her about his safe return and suggested a way out of the situation.

After a few hours a sub inspector from the anti naxal wing came to the place and asked the devotee what brought him there. After explaining about his visit the employee hesitantly asked if they had met earlier as he could not recollect their meeting. Sub lnspector told him he had seen him at Gurunatha’s house and started recounting that meeting.

lnspector said, my native is close to Sakharaya Patna. I had been married for some time but did not have children. When I visited Gurunatha about this he had blessed me. You were standing right next to him and you had given me a fruit on his instructions. We are a happy family having a child now; I am indebted to his kindness.
Later the Inspector spoke to his superiors and made arrangements so that the duo could get out of that place.

As it was peak summer the security personnel were tired and thirsty. Seeing this the bank employee informed the inspector about the tender coconuts he had brought. Tender coconuts were distributed and everyone was relieved of his thirst. lnspector thanked the employee and asked.. what made him carry so many tender coconuts while coming to meet a customer?

“I was only following my Gurunatha’s instruction faithfully, I see the reason behind it now” was the employee’s reply. Both of them thanked the vision of kindness that was taking care of the needs and wants of so many people.
